However, the downside is that The Lookout doesn’t have the same 360 degree view. For a unique Seattle experience, dont miss our new Talking Tower Tour offering. We think this short time popup provides a unique opportunity to absorb a unique view without spending as much money. Now, if you’d like to go to the top, it’s going to cost you $20-$25 (depending on time of day) and that doesn’t include the price of food and drinks. The opening day was July 4, 1914, and 4,200 people travelled to the thirty-fifth-floor Observatory in the original Otis elevator, they paid only 25 cents for the ride. The Smith Tower has a special story in the city, being the first skyscraper in the city, built in 1914, and it was the tallest west of the Mississippi River. The pop up bar has a great South facing view and place to sit outside. There is a cost to get into The Lookout, $10, but that comes with a $5 drink credit. This space is regularly exclusive to events, but from August 8 – end of September 2019, this space will be open to the public.
